In response to the World Social Work Day – WSWD (the third Tuesday in March every year), many social work associations, universities and social work student organization in Hong Kong work together to establish the Social Work Day 2009 (HK) Organizing Committee. The theme of Social Work Day this year (17 March 2009) is “ Together We Weather the Storms”. The aim of Social Work Day is to increase the public’s identification with social work profession, to strengthen the role of social workers as an advocator and to enhance the professional image of social workers.
