Introduction

In response to the World Social Work Day – WSWD (the third Tuesday in March every year), many social work associations, universities and social work student organization in Hong Kong work together to establish the Social Work Day 2010 (HK) Organizing Committee. The theme of Social Work Day this year (16 March 2009) is “Vision and Blueprint of Social Work and Social Development”. The aim of Social Work Day is to increase the public’s identification with social work profession, to strengthen the role of social workers as an advocator and to enhance the professional image of social workers.

Objective of Social Work Day 2010 (HK)：

1. Increase the public awareness and recognition on the social work professional ethics and values
2. Strengthen the advocation role of social workers
3. Enhance the professional image of social workers
